The Snow Plow Truck Driver plays a vital role in our snow operations.  Your goal is to get your assigned commercial, industrial or municipal plow site cleared of snow in a manner that is consistent with excellent level of service. This job requires 24/7 availability from November 1st to April 30th. You are "on-call" for that entire time frame however you will primarily be working after there is an ice event, dusting of snow or snowfalls reach a depth of 3/4" or more. We utilize state of the art equipment. You will be using a late model truck with a top of the line snow plow (Boss v-plow or Western Wide-out). We work at some of the area's finest, high-end jobs throughout the Warren, Michigan area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate snow plow and salt trucks (pick up trucks and dump trucks) along established routes to remove snow and ice from parking lots, driveways, loading docks, and parking structures in a professional manner.
  • Apply salt or de-icing materials as needed after snow removal.
  • Perform pre and post-operation inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and effective operations and communicate with manager.
  • Exceeding customer expectations for plowing your particular sites.
  • Watching weather conditions on your assigned site.
  • Respond promptly to text messages/phone calls when on call.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to complete routes efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site, while ensuring current landscape and property is not damaged in the efforts of removing snow.
  • Priortize safety for both crew members and pedestrians during snow removal operations.
  • Maintaining effective communication throughout the snow event
Qualifications:
  • Working smartphone in order to take before and after pictures as well as time in and out of job sites.
  • Valid driver's license, Chauffeur Licenses a plus.
  • Reliable transportation
  • Have some basic mechanical ability
  • Have medium duty truck / snow plow experience
  • Ability to work extended periods of time (shift vary dependent on snowstorm)
  • Ability to work in extreme cold, snow, sleet and darkness.
  • Handle pressure well
  • Be detail oriented

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Utlize snow blowers, shovels, and other queipment to clearn snow from sidewalks, walkways, staircases and entrances.
  • Apply salt or other de-icing agents to treated surface such as sidewalks, entry ways, and staircases either by hand or with a spreader to prevent ice formation.
  • Priortize safety for both crew members and pedestrians during snow removal operations.
  • Ability to be on call 24/7 (November 1st – April 30th), We will work with your schedule for those of you with other jobs or students.
  • Respond promptly to text messages/phone calls when on call.
  • Reliable attendance through the winter months
  • Job requires proper clothing consisting of boots, gloves, hat, and other winter attire.
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site, while ensuring current landscape and property is not damaged in the efforts of removing snow
  • Inspect and maintain snow removal equipment regularly, ensuring that they are in proper working condition.
  • Report any equipment issues or malfuntions to the supervisor.
  • Clean and store equipment properly after each use to prolong its lifespan.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently but maintain excellent communication between team and supervisors
  • Document completion and time according to direction of supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to use power and hand tools
  • Ability to work extended periods of time (shifts vary dependent on snowstorm)
  • Lift/carry in excess of 50+/- pounds, lift heavy shovels
  • Understanding of safety precautions related to cold weather conditions
  • Work in/or about situations near direct automotive traffic
  • 24/7 availability for on call
  • Ability to work in extreme cold, snow, sleet and darkness.

The Heavy Equipment Operator plays a vital role in our snow operations. Heavy Equipment includes but limited to Skid Steer, Front End Loads, Bobcats, and/or Kubota. Your goal is to get your assigned commercial, industrial or municipal plow site cleared of snow in a manner that is consistent with excellent level of service. This job requires 24/7 availability from November 1st to April 30th. You are "on-call" for that entire time frame however you will primarily be working after there is an ice event, dusting of snow or snowfalls reach a depth of 3/4" or more. The Snow & Ice Operations Manager plays a vital role in our snow operations. Your goal is to ensure that our operations run smoothly and efficiently for our commercial, industrial or municipal plow site and they are cleared of snow in a manner that is consistent with an excellent level of service. This job requires 24/7 availability from November 1st to April 30th. You are "on-call" for that entire time frame however you will primarily be working after there is an ice event, dusting of snow or snowfalls reach a depth of 3/4" or more. We utilize state-of-the-art equipment. We work at some of the area's finest, high-end jobs throughout the Grosse Pointe and Warren, Michigan areas. We offer competitive pay.   • Coordinating the preparation of trucks and equipment, and managing on-site operations.
  • Overseeing shovel crews, plow trucks, and heavy equipment crews.
  • Coach and train employees based on performance and behavior
